Liquidity A word describing the ease with which one can undertake transactions in the particular market or instrument. A market where there are always ready buyers and sellers willing to transact at competitive prices is regarded as liquid.

Maturity date
(= redemption date)
The date on which a bond is to be redeemed. The retail investors will be repaid the principal of Government Bonds on this date. If the maturity date on which the HKSAR Government should pay principal is not a business day in Hong Kong, the payment will be made on the next day which is a business day.

Nominal amount/value The face, par, or principal value payable at maturity of a bond.
